Rationale

Our group's public service annoucement involves the use of Wind Energy. Today, we are using to many other harmful resources that are causing every aspect of life to decline. Wind energy is a clean and sustainable resource that needs to be looked at more carefully. Being able to use a resource that can benefit us now and in the future will allow this world to function for smoothly.

Using this type of renewable energy source will set up our environment for great success. The two greatest factors it has for the environment are no toxic pollutions and no global warming emissions. Furthermore, this is a source that will cost us very little because wind turbines can actively operate for twenty to twenty-five years. Unlike other energy sources, there are several harmful catastraphies like the BP Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This costed our country millions of dollars from a drilling mistake. Wind energy does not have any harmful catastrophes because it relies just on the speed of the wind.

Having this public service announcement be successful will help make a difference towards wind energy. Getting adults, elders, teenagers, etc to help make the change that will benefit their future life and generations to come. For the people that own property on any open lands, this would be a great way to start using wind turbines. Our goal is to encourage others to help make a positve difference either by spreading the word, having family or friends research on how they can use wind energy, and perhaps even run a wind turbine on their own property!!

Our print media pieces consited of a billboard, coozie, tee shirt, and a bumper sticker. The billboard will be put up on the side of the expressway targeting all different types of audiences. This will be displayed as long as we are allowed to rent out a billboard. Our teams coozie targets teenagers and adults. This would be put in several stores all over the country. We would sell this all throughout the year until we believe our message has been delivered. The tee-shirt targets the younger generation of kids to encourage their families to help make a difference. These would be sent out on Earth day to help the planet go green! Finally, the bumper sticker is for any driver with a valid drivers license. Just because you dont have the bumper sticker does not mean you can't help make a difference. You will visually see it on the road when you are driving. All our print medias are unique ways to advertise our public service announcement.

In addition to the print medias, our group has two digital medias. The first digital media that we have is a commercial. This advertises how we use energy everday, but it is the incorrect way to generate electricity. Wind energy needs to be the way we generate more energy in the United States. We would love to share this commercial when there is a large crowd watching. These would be things like the superbowl, final four, and world series. This would be a great way to advertise because it reaches out to the states that generates the most wind. Second, our facebook page shows how we need to turn to wind energy. During this generation, facebook is a great way to reach to others. This is already posted, so visit our website and click the like button. Digital media is the best way to reach to others because it holds the largest crowds.
